As he was for the shepherds, a simple people but little appreciated, may Jesus, the poor, defenseless and excluded child be Good News for us, that in our lives we may make him Good News for all the people, building a world where power becomes solidarity, authority becomes service to the most needy and the weakest, where the poor live with dignity, where there is more joy in giving than in receiving, where children and young people can smile.
