Introduction by Brother Patrick Tierney

        The teachers in our Lasallian schools gathered together for a Lasallian Staff Development Day on the 8th October, 2005. The venue was the splendidly appointed hall of La Salle Primary School.
         We were indeed hououred and privilaged to have as our facilitator Brother Mark Murphy. Brother Mark placed great emphasis on our Lasallian core values in education. In particular he selected four of these:
      1. Develop Awareness / Intimacy with the Divine
      2. Form Community with others of a like mind
      3. Acquire Knowledge / Wisdom necessary to lead a good life
      4. Exercise Compassion / Response to the needs of others, especially the poor.
         All participants including members of Lasallian Education Council, received a copy of our latest Hong Kong Lasallian publication entitled " Prayer Services and Reflections on the 12 Virtues of a Good Teacher".
        The occasion has rounded off with a group photograph, no easy task with over five hundred participants.
