A Taste of Hong Kong Lasallian Heritage
The School Chapel
After we had provided all the classrooms, staff rooms and school office with the necessary furniture and equipment we decided to enclose an area about the size of a classroom on the top floor hall for use as a school chapel. At that time La Salle College was being relocated to a new site and some furniture from the old school was being given away. We were fortunate to receive a beautifully carved hard wood altar together with the tabernacle, crucifies and candle-stands taken from the side altar of the old school chapel. We also received eight chapel benches for use by people attending devotions in the chapel and two lovely statues, a statue of our Lady and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. These chapel articles of furniture are still in use in our school chapel today.
