Established in 1971, Chong Gene
Hang College is a government subsidized grammar school.
Just like all Lasallian schools in Hong Kong, our school
was founded and conducted by De La Salle Brothers. De
La Salle Family is a Catholic body which aims to provide
a comprehensive education. The Family has primary and
secondary schools, polytechnics and universities in about
ninety countries in the world. Our school was named after
an American Chinese philanthropic couple, Mr. Chong Gene
Hang and his wife.
AIM
To follow the Catholic doctrines, to serve people, to
find out the truth, to attain knowledge and to observe
self-discipline.
SCHOOL CHARACTERISTICS
Besides promoting a strong academic and extracurricular activity culture, we also try to instill self-discipline, civic awareness and a positive attitude in our students.
STRUCTURE
This is solely a boys' school up to Form 5. Girls are
admitted in Form 6 and Form 7. There are five classes in
Secondary 1, 2 and 3 and four classes in Secondary 4 and
5. In Secondary 6 and 7, there are altogether 4 classes
of arts and science streams.
