The council met at La Salle College from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

At this meeting much time was spent trying to fine-tune the sample constitution for the Hong Kong Lasallian Schools Incorporated Management Committee (IMC’s).
We know that our Bishop, Cardinal Joseph Zen, is appealing against the Government Ordinance to set up such Committee but it is prudent to be prepared.
Brother Thomas Lavin gave an update on the present situation of our District and the likely merging with the Philippines and Myanmar.
LEC members gave updates on their own alma maters.
Lack of time forced the deferral of discussion on the Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) to the next meeting scheduled for late June. |
