The LEC has three new members

The LEC now has a total of 13 members, 2 from each Lasallian secondary school and 3 brothers
Topics under discussion:
Two new formal “formation” or training programs were introduced for the Asia Pacific region including a 10 day Lasallian Leadership Course in the Philippines for senior teachers and administrators and a two year on-line training. A Hong Kong Lasallian Formation Fund will be established to finance such training for our teachers. alumni associations of five Lasallian schools will take the lead in contributing to the fund.
- Establishment of Incorporated Management Committee (IMC)
The deadline for submission of draft IMC constitutions was extended from 1 July 2009 to 1 July 2011. We will continue our effort to meet this target not withstanding the outstanding of the litigation between the Catholic Church and the Education and Manpower Bureau on this issue.
The LasalleStudyCenter in Chang Jiao, Guangdong Province is continuing to receive financial support from the alumni associations of the five Lasallian schools in Hong Kong. A field trip to the Center to visit Bro David was planned for July but the trip was postponed to a later date.
