1. District Matters

Bro. Patrick informed the group that Bro. Thomas Lavin has been promoted to the position of Brother Visitor of Penang District which comprises of Hong Kong Malaysia and Singapore. He further advised that there may be restructuring of the districts in the Asia Pacific Area.

2. LEC Permanent Secretary

The LEC will continue to look into appointing a permanent LEC secretary. The job requirement and job description will be examined and funding for the position will be further discussed.

3.School Visits

The school visits achieved its primary purpose. LEC members are encouraged to get involved with the school activities and get to meet the teachers. The receptions from the school were positive.

4.Incorporated School Management (IMC)

To meet the July 1 2009 deadline for the Incorporated School Management (IMC) implementation, it was decided to send a draft constitution to the School Supervisors and Principals first for their comments and suggestions. A model IMC will then be put into place by July 2008 for trials. The draft constitution was discussed and will be further discussed at the next LEC meeting.
