Let us pray to St. La Salle for the suffering people of the world, especially for the victims and all affected by the recent cyclone in Myanmar:
Saint John Baptist De La Salle, you saw the suffering of the poor and you heard the call of the Gospel. You allowed yourself to be “open” to what God wanted of you.
Lord, open our minds and touch our hearts, that we may share with others all that we have and all that we are.
You lived at a time of war and famine and human suffering, a time when many considered themselves superior to others. We ask you to inspire us to see when others need encouragement and care, so that they, in turn, may be able to bring strength and love to others.
We ask all this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
